The challenge
The organization runs table banking groups whose contributions, loans and fines lived in notebooks and phone messages. Members could not see their own balances, officials had no shared record, and the organization needed its constitution followed for every approval.
What we built
We built a public website and a member platform. Members apply, pay by M-Pesa, follow their savings and loans, and carry a digital member card. Each group has its own workspace for members, payments, loans, meetings and reports, with books that always balance. Approvals follow the constitution: two officials for loans and payouts, the right officers for new members. The whole platform works in English, Kiswahili and Kalenjin.
